Good end to the trilogyThis third installment of the series shook things up a bit with having multiple narrators and I’m glad it did。 I think the first two books really laid the groundwork for introducing the world and its characters through Adara’s perspective since she was also being introduced to everyone and everything at the same time the readers were。 It makes sense that even though Evren and Adara were separated for a period of time in the second book， we still only got her story because Good end to the trilogyThis third installment of the series shook things up a bit with having multiple narrators and I’m glad it did。 I think the first two books really laid the groundwork for introducing the world and its characters through Adara’s perspective since she was also being introduced to everyone and everything at the same time the readers were。 It makes sense that even though Evren and Adara were separated for a period of time in the second book， we still only got her story because the readers needed to see the Blood Kingdom and its people rather be subjected to the torture Evren was receiving in the Fae Kingdom。 There was one point of view that we got from a character that seemed fairly pointless at first but I think now that it added just a bit of foreshadowing for later content。 The spice is still there （as if there was any doubt） and I would bet there’s a bit more in this one and it’s more intense I think （though I skimmed through it since it’s not my cup of tea）。 The plot and character dynamics outside of the “bedroom” （or wherever they did the deed） kept me reading the series even though the spice level heavily deterred me。 The ending seemed fairly rushed but there bits of it that heavily contributed to this happily ever after ending。 3。75/5 stars 。。。more

A Kingdom of Venom and Vows is the third book in the Stars and Shadows series。 A steamy fantasy romance with fae and vampyres！As I always say， Holy Renee describes feelings perfectly！ I also enjoy the dialogues between the characters。 They are witty and make me laugh。 Evren has a dirty mouth and I think that is why we all like him so much。 He is the master of dirty talking。 Adara still remains a strong and bold heroine and she evolves alongside her mate。 I haven't often met the friendship trope A Kingdom of Venom and Vows is the third book in the Stars and Shadows series。 A steamy fantasy romance with fae and vampyres！As I always say， Holy Renee describes feelings perfectly！ I also enjoy the dialogues between the characters。 They are witty and make me laugh。 Evren has a dirty mouth and I think that is why we all like him so much。 He is the master of dirty talking。 Adara still remains a strong and bold heroine and she evolves alongside her mate。 I haven't often met the friendship trope in a book， but I couldn't imagine it any better！ Adara and Thalia bond page by page and I ame in awe of their friendship。 True friends with love and devotion。 I think this is my favourite part of the book。I love Holly's writing style and her imagination thrills me， but I think that this book has some holes in its plot and I'll explain you exactly what I mean。 （view spoiler）[First of all， as much as I anticipated the sex scenes between Adara and Evren they were too many。 I would prefer less sex scenes and more battle scenes。 We never learnt what happened when they imprisoned Evren and I think it would be nice to have his POV of those moments。 Gavril is presented as the pure evil， but he doesn't really harm Adara physically。 Neither Queen Kaida did。 （although these happened in the second book） Gavril killed Adara's mother。 An eye for an eye， as he said。 And that was expected and a really good part of the plot （technically speaking）。 But， Adara doesn't mourn her mother。 She has sex。 I was expecting to read more about her feelings， her loss。 I expected to see her spending more time with her father and maybe recalling some family memories。 It was like she didn't care for anything else， when she should。Queen Veda is presented as a strong and powerful queen， but all we see in the third book is a silent queen。 She never speaks， she lets Evren and Adara handle things。 I know why she does that， but she appears like a puppet， like she is decorative。 I really wanted to know her and see how gracious and badass she is。Then there are the preparations for war。 Zero preparations， because the main characters were locked in the bedroom again。 And it didn't feel "right"。 They were facing a great danger， their people's lives were more important than them having some bonding time together。And the war wasn't even a war。 It seemed to happen in just half an hour。 Only one chapter about what we were waiting since the beginning。 Because we knew that the war was to come。 We didn't read about what happened in each party。 What happened to the front line or to the Old Fae's army？ What really happened with Gavril's front line？ What magic did he use and how？ Evren was defeated sooo easily。 But Gavril， who was supposed to be so powerful， was defeated even easier。 And the worst part for me was Jorah's death。 I get it that always has to die a character we care about， but how did he die and who killed him？ He deserved better。 And while I'm at it， what happened between Jorah-Thalia-Sorin？ I had a feeling that there was something the author didn't tell us and we never learnt their secret。I liked the Nymphs and the forest's creatures that joined the battle。 But why did the Nymph call Adara witch in the first book and then at the second referred to her as her Queen？ We also should have a story about that。 And more about the Old Fae。 I liked the epilogue and how Queen Veda wanted both her son and his wife to rule her beloved kingdom。 And I am happy to know that more books are coming and maybe we'll read more about the Old Fae！ （hide spoiler）]In a few words， I was invested in this story and it had so much potential for me。 My expectations were high and that's why I expected more。 But it is a good book。 It just needed some extra scenes。 Holly， thank you for creating this world and thank you for creating Evren。 You are doing great！ We just want some more info about new characters。 I'm writing all these with love in my heart and I hope it won't upset you。 You are wonderful！ 。。。more
